I'm Sam Watkins. The girl behind the lens. My adventure in photography began just as I was entering my teenage years. I started with landscapes and equine photography before moving into live music photography as I entered college. A majority of my formative years were spent in front of monitors feeling the bass in my chest as I snapped photos of such names as Good Charlotte and Black Veil Brides. I've spent over a decade learning all I can about my craft and who I am as an artist to bring to you the best quality possible.
In August of 2013, that learning adventure lead me to the New York Renaissance Faire working for the contracted jousting company as a squire. It was an experience I won't soon forget, and it helped me find myself as a person. It helped me come to love my gypsy soul. It wouldn't be til two years later that I would find exactly where that gypsy soul belonged. While I may have a wanderer's heart, that heart belongs to my husband, a soldier in the United States Army. We married in February of 2015 and he's been my biggest supporter in this journey. Shortly after we were wed, I moved to Fort Bragg, North Carolina where I jumped at the opportunity to spread my wings and fly.
I'm simply blessed to have the opportunity to work with so many great and loving clients in North Carolina. It's a truly beautiful state with truly beautiful people in it to reflect that. When I book a session, I want to create a fun experience that you can recall every time you look at your images.
